Joanna Wright is a Principal of LUC, having joined the Company in 1993 after completing an MSc in environmental impact assessment (EIA). She is a full member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment and a Chartered Environmentalist.
Joanna specialises in EIA, strategic environmental assessment (SEA) and resource planning (minerals, waste, water and energy). Her experience ranges from site-based projects, for example a number of windfarms, overhead line routeing and both waste and water infrastructure, to strategic planning work, including projects for local authorities, and government agencies.
Joanna has also undertaken a range of research commissions at the national and European levels, most recently in relation to the effectiveness of scoping in EIA and the interactions between the EU Water Framework Directive and the land use planning system. A number of these projects have also culminated in the preparation of good practice guidance.
