LUC’s Glasgow office has an environmental planning team with experience of completing a wide range of cutting edge national, regional and local research.

We frequently work with national and regional agencies including the Scottish Executive, Scottish Natural Heritage and Historic Scotland to research policy development. We are in the forefront of the application of Strategic Environmental Assessment to plans and strategies in Scotland.

Integrated rural development, ranging from land management through to development planning has developed as a key element of our work. Again, our projects range from national level research through regional strategies to more local, community based initiatives.

LUC has completed a wide range of access and greenspace projects in Scotland, many linking into key national policy priorities on health, social inclusion, environmental and social justice and sustainable transport.
