Green tourism supports the wise use of resources, prevents pollution and seeks to protect and enhance the environment. Sustainable tourism goes a step beyond green tourism seeking to manage “tourism impacts on the environment, communities and the economy to make sure that the effects are positive rather than negative for the benefit of future generations” (The English Tourism Council).
