Greenspace and Parks

LUC has long standing experience of providing advice on public parks and green spaces across a wide range of types (from traditional public parks to newly created open spaces), scales, and context (both urban and rural).

Experience of traditional parks comes from long working with the Royal Parks and, over the last 10 years, on a large number of public parks which have been submitted by local authorities for HLF support. Additionally LUC’s track record in creating completely new systems of open space in, for example, Stoke on Trent (from reclaimed sites), in Coatbridge (Scotland), East and West London, and many other areas, shows the diversity and depth of projects. More recently, LUC have assisted a number of authorities with survey and in some cases, strategic assessment of open space.
