EIA Policy Research and Guidance

LUC has undertaken research into EIA and produced guidance documents for a range of clients.

Including:

• Research for the EC into likely costs and benefits of the Environmental Assessment Directive;
• Production of EIA guidelines for developers on behalf of the UK Government;
• An evidence review of scoping in EIA for ODPM;
• Research for English Nature into the treatment of cumulative effects in impact assessment;
• A review of EIA good practice for a major utility company to inform the development of environmental guidelines for post-development monitoring and auditing.
