Principal of LUC and landscape architect
with over 20 years experience in the UK and overseas. Much of his experience
has been gained in large-scale and intricate development projects often
in sensitive locations. He is fully familiar with working alongside other
disciplines in design teams whether on studies, masterplans, design development
or construction.
Essentially a designer, he always looks to provide design
solutions that successfully combine flair, innovation and creativity
with buildability, affordability and sustainability whether at macro
or micro scale. Many of his schemes have received national design awards
culminating in the Presidents Award from the Landscape Institute for
British Airways, Waterside in 1999.
Relevant projects include masterplan and design briefs for 140
ha. city centre park in Shanghai; headquarters developments for
British Airways, SmithKline Beecham, Royal & Sun Alliance and
others; masterplans for projects as diverse as eco parks and universities,
and large-scale housing developments; detailed design and implementation
of new-build housing, schools and retail developments.
