Adrian is a Principal of LUC, having joined the practice in 1986, and has 20 years’ experience as a landscape architect.
For the past 15 years, Adrian has worked on a considerable breadth of historic landscape projects, varying from documentation and implementation of works at H.M. Tower of London to detailed tree planting strategies for Sefton Park, Liverpool. The restoration of 18 th and 19 th century public parks (and their relevance to contemporary society) has always been a particular interest with work including Corams Fields and Russell Square, Bloomsbury; Heaton Park, Manchester; and Nunhead Cemetery.
Since 1995 Adrian has acted as Principal in Charge on a number of HLF funded parks projects, those complete on site include St. Pancras Gardens, Coram’s Fields, Russell Square and Manor House Gardens. Sites currently on site and completing include Heaton Park (£6m) Manchester, Wardown Park, Luton, Telegraph Hill Park, London & Dulwich Park, London which begins on site in Spring 2005.
As a consultant to the HLF Adrian acts as HLF project monitor at Norfolk Park, Sheffield; Pymmes Park, Enfield; Central Park, Peterborough and War Memorial Park, Basingstoke. He is also a guest lecturer at the Architectural Association Garden History course in London.
