The Role
Reporting to the General Manager, the holder of this important role will play a key part in ensuring LUC delivers all of its marketing and promotional initiatives and goals using up to date and innovative marketing methodologies.

Responsibilities include;

  • Maintenance of LUC’s Marketing and External Communication Strategies and Plans
  • Support to Management on the Marketing elements of individual business plan
  • Enhancement of LUC’s visibility through targeted PR opportunitie
  • Editorial responsibility for LUC’s website and its currency

The Individual

LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT

You should have strong design skills and a keen eye for detail with an ability to express ideas verbally and in both electronic and drawn media. With Part IV plus 2-3 years experience you should demonstrate good interpersonal skills, self motivation, organisation and an aptitude to team leadership. A proven track record in the implementation of projects on site (with site supervision/CA work), your portfolio should demonstrate both excellent construction and conceptual design.

LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTS/ LANDSCAPE PLANNERS

We are seeking Landscape Architects/Landscape Planners to play roles in the field of Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA) and Landscape Character Assessment (LCA).

The ideal candidate(s) will have experience in one or more of the following areas; assessment of renewable energy schemes and other major developments as well as the application of LCA techniques to inform landscape planning and management.

We are looking to appoint a Landscape Manager to join our exiting specialist team. We have a varied and interesting workload, mainly site-specific conservation, management and maintenance plans but with the opportunity to be involved with cross-discipline projects including PPG17 audits/strategies and green infrastructure work. You will have a relevant degree and 3-4 years related experience including writing landscape management plans. You should be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the range of issues affecting the management of public parks and familiarity with relevant legislation, policy guidance and quality standards e.g. Green Flay Award. You will have excellent report writing skills, be an effective communicator and be computer literate in Word and Excel

We are seeking to appoint an environmental planner to join our London based Environmental Planning team.

The successful candidate will work with the Environmental Planning team on a diverse range of projects including planning and environmental policy, environmental impact assessment, urban and rural development, although their main focus would be on strategic environmental assessment/sustainability appraisal, and will work with a wide variety of clients from both the public and private sector.

We are looking for a candidate who has at least one to two years experience in environmental planning, including sustainability appraisal/strategic environmental assessment. We require candidates to have gained a good first degree in a relevant discipline i.e. planning, geography or environmental science and preferably have completed or be working towards a post-graduate qualification in town/environmental planning.

We are seeking individuals who have completed undergraduate or post-graduate studies in Landscape Architecture with a 2.1 or above and are looking for graduate or placement opportunity.

THE ROLE
You will work with all members of our Landscape Team on a diverse range of projects including urban design, contemporary and regeneration projects. Examples of recent projects include work with London Zoo, the Eden Project and the innovative Heartlands Project in Cornwall.
