Sustainable land management is at the core of LUC’s work, with climate change mitigation and adaptation cross-cutting all of our projects. Our team works across the UK to support the delivery of multiple benefits, including through the ecosystem services approach, to help clients meet this challenge.

We provide expert planning, landscape and ecological advice for local scale projects up to landscape level strategies, including forest, woodland and other land management strategies. We advise on the implications of renewables and other developments, working with land owners and managers to provide practical and viable solutions. A key strand of our work looks at future landscapes and mapping landscape change, using the latest 3D techniques to visualise the impacts of long-term management.
