With a reputation for a meticulous yet innovative approach to investigation, LUC research provides a solid basis for a wide range of client strategies. We undertake research at the national and local levels as well as carrying out site-specific research in bespoke multidisciplinary teams. Our evidence gathering and analysis provides a sound basis for public policy – LUC research has been used to underpin new concepts or provide guidance on methods to deliver new legislation.

This area of work frequently covers the formulation of tools and techniques to help solve a problem, where we will often take an ‘outside the box’ look. We write practical, deliverable methodologies with extensive input from community and stakeholder groups, and can accommodate both field assessment and desk-based study. We have an award winning reputation for spatial data analysis and modelling, using GIS extensively as a tool to provide innovative solutions to complex problems and to develop methodologies that make best use of existing data.
