Tree and Woodland Plans
Tree and woodland plans provide a valuable tool for planning the planting, management and maintenance of trees and woodlands for the benefit of the environment, wildlife and people. In producing the strategies, we take natural, social and economic factors into account to ensure that the right trees are planted in the right places and that the resources are available to maintain them.
Our projects involve both urban and rural environments, from individual sites to national studies. They also include woodland surveys using National Vegetation Classification (Phase 11) survey, the Forestry Commission’s Native Woodland Plan survey method and the management of veteran trees.
