Karen has over 15 years' experience within the Arboricultural profession. Starting her career as a Tree Officer within a local council, Karen has extensive knowledge of all aspects of the planning system and any tree related issues such as Tree Preservation Orders and methods and specifications for construction activities around retained trees. Since leaving the public sector Karen has a further 10 years' experience within private arboricultural consultancy, bringing extensive experience and knowledge of carrying out tree surveys and inspections, producing Tree Survey Reports, Arboricultural Impact Assessments, Tree Protection Schemes and Arboricultural Method Statements to BS 5837:2012 and various Tree Health and Safety Surveys along with all other tree related advice.

Karen also holds a qualification in Leadership and Management and has over 5 years' experience of leading and managing Arboricultural teams within the consultancy service.

Karen has managed many large-scale projects for supporting planning applications or delivering UK-wide tree health and safety surveys for varying clients including, Local Councils, developers, private landowners, trusts, schools and housing associations.
