Cecilia Galleano gains Associate membership of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists
We’re proud to share that Cecilia Galleano, Senior Historic Environment Consultant at LUC, has achieved Associate membership (ACIfA) of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists (CIfA).
Cecilia began her archaeological career in Italy in 2012, working on Roman and medieval excavations across the country.
After moving to the UK in 2015, she gained field experience with a range of commercial archaeology companies before stepping into consultancy in 2021.

Cecilia now supports clients by assessing how development proposals affect heritage assets.
Her work includes Historic Environment Assessments, Local Planning Authority EIA reviews, survey management and Historic Landscape Characterisations.
She combines practical field expertise with a strong understanding of planning policy and guidance.
“I’m really pleased to have upgraded to ACIfA. It gave me a chance to reflect on my professional development and share my experience. I’m proud to be part of CIfA and to uphold its professional standards. I’d like to thank my colleagues at LUC for their support throughout the process. The CIfA submission examples and support meetings helped a lot.”
