LUC to carry out Seascape Character Assessment for Cornwall
We’re excited to share that our Landscape Planning team will be delivering a new Seascape Character Assessment for Cornwall.
The work follows our 2023 update to the Cornwall Landscape Character Assessment. Together, the assessments will give planners and communities a richer picture of what makes Cornwall’s land and seascapes special.

Seascape Character Assessment explores the natural, cultural and perceptual qualities of coastal and marine environments. It helps decision-makers manage change and protect the distinct identity of our coasts and seas. With growing interest in the marine environment – from tourism to offshore renewables – understanding seascape character has never been more important.
Our team is excited to get started and looking forward to heading out on site soon – hopefully with some good weather in tow.
