LUC awarded three GI Audits in central London
LUC is pleased to have won three commissions for GI audits on behalf of London Business Improvement Districts (BIDs).
LUC will be working with Brixton, Purley and Stratford BIDs to identify priority locations for investment in green infrastructure. This could be at the street level, through street trees, planters and rain gardens, or integrated within buildings, through green roofs and living walls.
The project has been funded through the Greater London Authority as part of the Drain London initiative, which looks for opportunities to increase green cover in London, and contribute to the reduction of surface water flooding.
The three studies should be completed in June 2016. Once finished, the BIDs will engage their key partners to help deliver these opportunities and accrue the associated environmental, economic and social benefits.
