LUC scoops up a Barnet Architecture Award for Avenue House
LUC’s Landscape Design team is celebrating a win at this year’s Barnet Architecture Awards – a scheme that recognises and rewards excellence in buildings and open spaces in the Barnet area of London.
Our landscape architecture work on the restoration of the gardens of Avenue House in London picked up an award in the Heritage and Conservation category.
Avenue House is a Grade II listed site developed in the 1870s which suffered from a lack of investment in its gardens and heritage over the 20th century.
In 2013, LUC was commissioned by the Avenue House Estate Trust to prepare the masterplan for the site with funding from Heritage Lottery Fund. The restoration and enhancement scheme stemming from our work was completed in 2017, making the gardens attractive to the local community again.
