Bat mitigation successfully delivered for new school in Bath
Lesser horseshoe bats have returned to roost at Cranwell House following its restoration, with mitigation works developed by LUC.
LUC Ecology worked with the Girl’s Day School Trust on the restoration of Cranwell House in Bath, Somerset. This included support through the planning process and subsequent development works.
Through close collaboration with the design team, restoration works were carried out under a Natural England bat licence to ensure we addressed legal constraints.
During a recent inspection we were delighted to find a bat in residence in the basement, happily sharing the site with the schoolchildren.
