Bowling Community Parkland project completes consultation phase
LUC is pleased to announce the successful conclusion of the consultation phase of the Bowling Community Parkland project.
Situated on the north bank of the River Clyde, this revitalisation initiative aims to transform a former oil terminal site. Following extensive engagement with the community, the project has completed stage two.
The project focuses on introducing green infrastructure enhancements and promoting the well-being of local residents. Key features of the redevelopment included:
- The creation of a coastal path offering panoramic views;
- Communal areas for gatherings;
- Natural play spaces;
- Native woodland planting; and
- Initiatives to enhance biodiversity.
Stage 3 will involve further collaboration with the community and the submission of a planning application. This is set to commence at the end of the month.
