Chigwell School Sixth Form Centre granted planning permission
We are pleased that the proposed new state of the art sixth form centre at Chigwell School in Essex was granted planning permission at the end of April.
Designed by BHM Architects, the new building is within the Chigwell Village Conservation Area and partially within the Green Belt.
LUC led the pre-application discussions with Epping Forest DC for almost a year before the application was submitted early in 2015. There were no objections and Chigwell Parish Council expressed support, commenting that “it is fitting to the fabric of Chigwell School, and in keeping with the Conservation Area.”
Jon Grantham, Planning Director at LUC, said “I am delighted that the new sixth form centre has been granted consent. It is the fifth major application that LUC has secured for the School since 2008.”
