Claypits Masterplan shortlisted for two Scottish Design Awards
LUC is pleased to be nominated for a masterplanning project in two categories in this year’s Scottish Design Awards.
The Claypits Masterplan project outlines the significant potential of the Glasgow canal as a connector between disadvantaged communities, to invigorate underutilised greenspace and to encourage and promote activity, wellbeing and health. The project encompasses the establishment of a Vision, Development Framework and masterplan for the canal corridor between Applecross and Firhill Basins, supported by extensive community participation.
The project is nominated in the Regeneration category and the Place Making/Master Planning category, with the results being revealed at the black-tie awards dinner held on August 23 at Grand Central Hotel, Glasgow.
