Climate change adaptation research published
We are pleased that our work with JBA consulting, reviewing the extent to which English Local Authorities are supporting climate change adaptation, has just been published.
The study found that most local authorities are adapting to the challenge of increased flood risk in their plans, strategies and decision making, but that less immediate impacts such as water scarcity and overheating tend to be covered less frequently.
The research provides the evidence base for the Committee on Climate Change and its Adaptation Sub Committee to meet its statutory duty to report to Parliament on progress in adapting to climate change.
