Climate change webinar to feature LUC Environmental Planner
LUC’s Director of Environmental Planning, Joanna Wright, is set to address climate change in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) at a webinar tomorrow.
The webinar is hosted by Society for the Environment and is part of a series featuring industry experts.
Addressing Climate Change in EIA: What, Why and How Well Are We Doing?
The talk will begin with a brief overview of the EIA process and of the EU’s rationale for including climate change in the 2017 updated EIA Directive. The new requirements to address both climate change mitigation and adaptation in EIA will be discussed. It will reference available guidance and recent project examples. The talk will conclude by considering good practice pointers and key challenges going forward.
