Construction in progress for Dogger Bank Wind Farm
Following a recent site visit, LUC is delighted to see that construction of Dogger Bank Wind Farm substation is well underway in East Yorkshire.
LUC carried out landscape and visual impact assessment work for the onshore components (including cabling and large converter stations). We also conducted the seascape and visual for the offshore wind farm itself.
The first phase, Dogger Bank A, is due to be operational in 2023.
Dogger Bank will produce 3.6GW of renewable electricity, and the completed development will be capable of powering 6 million homes.
Construction will take place over three 1.2GW phases, with each phase delivering up to 200 turbines.
The project will have an operational lifetime of up to 35 years, and will help the UK make strides towards to Net Zero carbon emissions.
