
LUC Planners to speak at Planning Futures COP26 webinar
Two LUC Planning Directors are set to join a panel at Planning Futures’ ‘Making COP26 Count – The Role of Planning’ webinar this week.
LUC is proudly sponsoring the event on 25 November. Philip Smith and Nick James, Directors of Planning, will join Hannah David (Planning Futures) and Steve Quartermain (Former Chief Planner, DLUHC).
The panel will cover:
- The adequacy of NPPF and the Local Plan making process in delivering patterns of development commensurate with carbon reduction goals, and the changes that may follow COP26.
- The role of strategic planning in carbon reduction and climate adaption strategies.
- The role of local infrastructure planning in meeting the ambitions of COP26.
