LUC to produce Cornwall State of the AONB Report
LUC has been commissioned by the Cornwall AONB Unit to produce its 2021 State of the AONB Report.
Our Landscape Planners and GIS Specialists will produce an up-to-date picture of the current state of the nationally designated landscape and its 12 component sections.
The study will present key data to show the environmental state of the AONB. It will be repeatable to help guide changes in future years – including through the revised management plan – in a post-Brexit, post-Covid Britain. As well as a report, LUC will develop an interactive mapping tool to present the outcomes of the study.
The team has worked closely with the Cornwall AONB since we pioneered the first landscape monitoring project in 2007. Since then, we have re-visited the same ‘monitoring indicators’ to understand trends over time, providing evidence to guide the management of the protected landscape. We look forward to continuing our work in this beautiful part of the UK.
