David Ross Sports Village opens after LUC landscape proposals
LUC attended the official opening of the new £40m state-of-the-art David Ross Sports Village on Park campus at the University of Nottingham this week.
Olympic table tennis champion Deng Yaping and gold medal-winning canoeists Tim Brabants MBE and Etienne Stott MBE were among the line-up of sporting legends who joined fellow alumni David Ross and UK Sport chief executive Liz Nicholl for the celebrations.
Facilities include an indoor fencing salle (hall), dance and spin studios, an all-glass squash court, an outdoor full-sized 3G rubber crumb pitch, tennis courts, gym and a High Performance Zone which has a 60m six-lane indoor sprint track, a bespoke cardio training area, all supported by specialist strength and conditioning staff.
LUC operated as the Landscape Architects throughout the project producing landscape proposals for the successful detailed planning application through to implementation on site.
