Draft Northern Ireland LCA out for public consultation
We are pleased that our draft Northern Ireland Regional Landscape Character Assessment (NIRLCA) is now out for public consultation.
Working for the NI Environment Agency, LUC is helping to establish a new character assessment which will form a framework for both regional decision-making and for future work at the local authority scale.
The purpose of the consultation draft is to allow interested parties to review and comment on the emerging NIRLCA. All comments on the character areas identified and their characteristics are welcomed, to ensure it paints a picture of Northern Ireland’s landscapes which is recognisable to those who value them most.
Our Principal Landscape Planner Paul Macrae will be presenting the draft at the NI Landscape Institute AGM on Thursday.
Access the draft ‘NI Landscape Character Consultation’ under ‘Topical Issues’ on the NIEA website
