After extensive pre-application contact, we are pleased that the hybrid planning application was submitted last week for Millburngate, a mixed-use scheme for what will be Durham’s largest ever development.

Working for Carillion Arlington Real Estate, LUC is a core member of the FaulknerBrowns-led design team. The site brought numerous challenges and opportunities as it is immediately adjacent to the river, close to the World Heritage Site and on a steeply sloping previously developed site. Our public realm design grasps these opportunities to deliver what will be a high quality and locally distinctive external environment.

LUC is also part of the team currently developing a master plan for Durham University.
