LUC Ecologists keep projects on track after lockdown restrictions
As autumn approaches, the ecological survey season is drawing to a close. With lockdown restrictions introduced in March, our ecology team has worked incredibly hard to keep our clients’ projects on course for submission.
Over the season, our team has delivered more than 200 projects, from Caithness to Cornwall, across a broad range of development and construction types. Across the year we’ve committed to:
- 100km2 of habitat and vegetation surveys
- 300 individual bat activity surveys
- Deployment of more than 200 static bat detectors
- Targeted surveys for more than 15 protected species
- 600 hours of ornithological survey
As we approach the quieter months of the year our fieldwork will continue; we’re delighted to continue supporting our clients on a number of challenging ECoW, protected species licensing and ornithological survey projects.
