LUC is now a fully employee-owned business
We are excited to announce that LUC has become a fully employee owned business this month after establishing an employee ownership trust (EOT).
By widening our ownership from a small group of shareholding employees we hope to help secure LUC’s long-term independence, as well as to further align our values with our governance structure.
LUC profits will now be shared equally between all staff and everyone will now be involved in key company decisions. We have appointed an EOT Board comprising three members of the LUC Board and three Employee Trustees to represent our employees.
Our strong focus on people has rewarded us with a low staff turnover and consistently high levels of job satisfaction amongst our employees. Having enjoyed growth of 20% in 2019, we hope this move will nurture and reward our current team as well as attract great people to join LUC in future.
Our Managing Director Jon Grantham said:
“I’m so pleased to be able to give all our staff an equal stake in LUC’s ownership, and the opportunity to participate in running the company. LUC is growing but remains proudly independent, so we felt an EOT was the logical next step in our evolution.
We will continue to provide robust, creative and innovative advice to all our clients, comfortable in the knowledge that everyone who works for LUC will have a say in how we operate.
We are delighted to join other built environment consultancies that have recently made the same change and we look forward to exciting times ahead.”
