LUC Director appointed to Essex Quality Review Panel
The Essex Quality Panel successfully launched this month. LUC’s Director of Planning, Philip Smith, is happy to sit on the panel.
The panel will independently review larger scale, important or sensitive developments in Essex and provide independent advice at pre-planning application stage.
Our involvement lies in design review as planners, landscape planners and landscape designers. We bring a multidisciplinary perspective to the design of housing and other development in areas of significant growth and change. This complements our strategic and local planning work, as well as our current focus on placemaking.
Welwyn Hatfield recently appointed LUC to prepare design guidance, following similar work for South Staffordshire.
LUC’s Director of Landscape Architecture, Jennette Emery-Wallis also sits on the London Legacy Development Corporation Quality Review Panel, as well as Harlow and Gilston Garden Towns and Waltham Forest Quality Review Panels.
