Galashiels Transport Interchange wins town centre regeneration award
We are delighted to announce that the Galashiels Transport Interchange won the “Town Centre Regeneration Project of the Year” award at the Scottish Property Awards this month.
LUC worked as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver the project, leading the design of the building’s public realm which included improved pedestrian connections between the railway station, buses and the town centre.
The awards celebrate the best buildings, businesses and teams in country’s commercial property sector.
Completed last summer at a cost of £5.2 million, the Interchange is the gateway to the new Borders Railway while also forming the town’s new bus station and directing footfall into the centre of Galashiels.
