LUC will undertake a green infrastructure (GI) audit of the Bristol City Centre Business Improvement District (BID).
The aim of the audit is to identify opportunities to deliver environmental enhancements to the area. Urban greening presents the opportunity to meet sustainability objectives and deliver a wide range of environmental benefits, from the control of air pollution alongside busy roads; reducing surface water flooding; and the encouragement of wildlife. The delivery of these green infrastructure improvements in Bristol City Centre will help the BID deliver the following core visions:
- Acting in the best interests of levy payers by providing a healthier, more vibrant workplace for the thousands of employees within the centre;
- Improve the ‘look and feel’ of the city centre; and
- Improve the welcome – helping to create a unique and welcoming city centre.
Having an office in the area, we look forward to applying our professional skills to make a meaningful difference to our local neighbourhood.
