LUC works on integrated Green Infrastructure and Landscape Sensitivity study for Leicestershire
Local authorities are in the process of preparing a non-statutory Strategic Growth Plan (SGP) for Leicester & Leicestershire. This will identify longer term proposals for housing and economic growth and will inform the preparation of local authorities’ Local Plans. The landscape and visual sensitivity study and the closely linked GI study will help ensure that, through clear evidence, locations identified for economic and housing development are delivered in a way that conserves and enhances landscape, biodiversity and green infrastructure.
LUC’s Landscape Planning & Management and Planning teams are delighted to be working with the local authorities and partners on this exciting study, which builds on our long history of work undertaken in the county over many years.
