LUC publishes guidance ahead of new EIA Directive
The new Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Directive (2014/52/EU) is due to be transposed into UK legislation on 16 May 2017.
The new Directive seeks to ensure that ‘proportionate’ and high-quality EIAs are undertaken across the EU.
To assist our clients in preparing for the new regulations, we have published a 10-point guidance note – the latest in our series of updates on the Directive.
Consultation on the new regulations has taken place across the UK and we will be monitoring how EIA practice evolves when these are implemented. Further updates will be provided as things progress.
To discuss this or other aspects of LUC’s EIA service please contact our Head of EIA Joanna Wright.
