LUC Director to advise Harlow and Gilston Garden Town development
A group of experts, which includes an LUC Director of Landscape Architecture, have been appointed to provide independent advice on the planning and design of Harlow and Gilston Garden Town.
LUC’s Director of Landscape Architecture, Jennette Emery-Wallis, is to provide ‘critical friend’ advice to the planning authorities to support the delivery of the exciting project.
Harlow and Gilston Garden Town is an ambitious project being delivered in partnership between Harlow Council, East Hertfordshire District Council and Epping Forest District Council which provides the opportunity to create new communities, delivering 16,000 new homes by 2033.
The councils’ Quality Review Panel, which will be chaired by London Legacy Development Corporation’s Peter Maxwell, will help to deliver the Garden Town, ensuring that the Garden City principles are embedded in the development and guarantee the delivery of a high quality development.
