Steven Orr, our Associate Director of Planning and Historic Environment, is looking forward to speaking at the London Plan: Characterisation Studies event later this month.
Organised by Urban Design London, it takes place on the 22nd of January at Palestra House in London.
The event will look at how Characterisation Studies are conducted and used and explore the difficulties involved with producing these studies. It will ask whether these studies are being produced efficiently and effectively and discuss what effect the London Plan will have on them.
Steven will be speaking about LUC’s recent research on creating a London Historic Characterisation Thesaurus for Historic England, and our experience of working on historic characterisation at a range of scales.
