LUC providing landscape design and assessment for Hornsea wind farm
LUC is carrying out a landscape and visual impact assessment to support the Hornsea Project Four wind farm development.
Hornsea Four is an offshore wind farm which Ørsted is proposing to develop in the North Sea, approximately 65km off the Yorkshire Coast.
The proposals and supporting assessments have recently been published for consultation by Ørsted.
We are working with Royal HaskoningDHV to assess the onshore elements of the scheme in the East Riding of Yorkshire. Our study will also include 40km of buried cable and a new substation near Beverley.
Our landscape architects are working closely with Ørsted to develop a ‘design vision’ for the onshore project, covering the appearance and colour of the buildings as well as landscape treatments. The aim is to secure high-quality design and integration with the local landscape.
