LUC restores Hyde Park Parade Ground after Winter Wonderland event
LUC has successfully reinstated Hyde Park Parade Ground, on behalf of The Royal Parks following their Winter Wonderland event. The Parade Ground, which has historically been used for high profile events such as Winter Wonderland, is an expansive area of open parkland covering seventeen hectares of land. It is located within the boundary of Hyde Park Grade I Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest in England.
The Royal Parks required successful repair and re-use of the site following subsequent damage to the condition of the grass. LUC conducted surveys of the grounds before and after the Winter Wonderland event. The extensive network of underground services crossing the Parade Ground and high volume public use required careful and sensitive site operations. Regular communication with The Royal Parks and on-going site inspections during the project period ensured milestones were met and any issues were dealt with swiftly.
The high quality restoration of this beautiful site was managed and delivered by LUC within a period of approximately three months, in time for forthcoming events.
