Jo Cottin volunteering with Transport Hub at COP26
Jo Cottin, Associate Environmental Planner at LUC, is volunteering with the Shuttle Hub at COP26 in Glasgow.
Jo has been assisting delegates travelling around the city to attend various COP26 events, including the ‘Blue Zone’ where international negotiations are taking place.
She is helping out as part of LUC’s Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSER) Policy. We encourage our colleagues to take paid leave of one working day per year to undertake a volunteering activity.
Roughly 30,000 delegates from over 180 countries are attending COP26 – the 26th Conference of Parties. It is taking place at the Scottish Exhibition Centre (SEC) at Pacific Quay in Glasgow’s city centre.
It aims to accelerate international climate action and limit global temperatures.
LUC has a long track record working with climate change mitigation and adaption.
This includes climate positive designs that address the impact of climate change, and natural capital assessments that assist in our adaptation to and mitigation of the crisis.
