Kennoxhead Wind Farm Extension secures planning consent
Kennoxhead Wind Farm Extension in South Lanarkshire, Scotland, has been granted Section 36 planning consent by Scottish Ministers.
LUC supported the Section 36 application by providing a range of specialist services. This includes EIA project management, landscape and visual impact assessment, and planning on behalf of Brookfield Renewable UK. We also assisted in addressing responses to the application.
The extension will comprise up to eight wind turbines with a blade tip height of approximately 180m, including associated infrastructure.
The site is located 3km south of the hamlet of Glespin in South Lanarkshire.
This development demonstrates our continued success and expertise in securing consent for renewables projects. LUC supported the successful Section 36c application for the original Kennoxhead Wind Farm site in December 2019. We are also providing EIA, planning, and landscape and visual services for the proposed Kennoxhead Wind Farm Extension II (Penbreck).
We offer specialist support for your renewables projects.
