LUC sponsors Kenyan youth environmental training programme
LUC is proud to support an environmental training programme in Nairobi, Kenya with a charitable donation. Residents will receive skills in landscaping, riverbank restoration, GIS, and sanitation and hygiene.
Mazingira Yetu Organisation will deliver the training. Mazingira Yetu is an environmental management grassroots organisation specialising in environmental education, community mobilisation and training and ecosystem restoration.
A key project is the riverbank restoration and the creation of a park in Githurai, Nairobi (pictured).
Our Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility policy allows us to support groups engaging with an international agenda of sustainability development.
Our donation will allow the training to proceed through the provision of teaching aid materials.
