First of four new KYN care homes and gardens ready to open

The first of four new care homes in London and the southeast is due to open in February. LUC provided the landscape design, influenced by cutting-edge dementia research.

Care provider specialising in dementia, KYN, commissioned LUC to support its ambition to provide exemplary care with landscape at its heart.

KYN is currently developing four sites with its first home in Bickley due to open imminently.

KYN is working with specialists to further understand dementia and tailor its homes accordingly. The landscape design is integral to this, responding to each site individually and giving it a unique character.

Each home includes a sensory garden for residents to use and enjoy. We designed the planting, alongside KYN’s specialists, to engage residents with activities such as cooking.
