LUC working on enhancements in Loch Lomond & The Trossachs
LUC is excited to be involved in the ongoing development of landscape and visual mitigation proposals in the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park on behalf of ScottishPower Energy Networks (SPEN) and Scottish & Southern Energy Networks (SSEN).
Focusing on existing transmission infrastructure located across the National Park, LUC has been working closely with SPEN, SSEN, stakeholders and landowners to develop proposals to mitigate visual impacts whilst delivering potential landscape, biodiversity, recreational and tourism benefits to visitors and communities alike.
You can read about the prioritisation of proposals in the latest issue of the Friends of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs magazine, The Voice, here.
SPEN and SSEN will continue to liaise with landowners and stakeholders over the coming months before preparing submissions for funding to Ofgem in 2018.
