LUC sponsoring Landscape Institute Health, Wellbeing and Place event
LUC is proud to sponsor the Landscape Institute’s Health, Wellbeing and Place CPD day this month.
Speakers will discuss:
- how landscape underpins public health and wellbeing
- the benefits of green infrastructure for healthier communities
- achieving positive health and wellbeing outcomes through sustainable design and effective urban planning
- how GIS analysis can support and inform prioritisation of landscape interventions.
Alison King, Principal Landscape Architect at LUC, and Diana Manson, Head of GIS & Visualisation at LUC, will deliver a talk on tackling health inequality with intelligent digital design. Landscape has enormous potential to increase our health and wellbeing as well as our social and ecological resilience.
How can we help local authorities improve their most deprived areas? Could intelligent landscape design and digital mapping be the answer to positive change? Alison and Diana will explore potential solutions. Diana will explore the range of data available to Local Authorities and landscape professionals to identify priorities at a strategic level.
The event will take place on Thursday 26 March 2020 at Coin Street Neighbourhood Centre, London.
