LUC to produce landscape permeability maps for Cranborne Chase
LUC is excited to begin working with the Cranborne Chase + Chalke Valley Landscape Partnership to identify and map existing semi-natural habitats within the Landscape Partnership area and identify priority areas and habitats for restoration, improvement and creation.
The Cranborne Chase + Chalke Valley Landscape Partnership is an exciting Heritage Lottery funded five year programme of projects that will enable a wide range of people to engage with the historic, natural and cultural landscapes of the area. Following a successful first round application, this study is one of a suite of studies that will help form the basis of the production of a landscape conservation action plan (LCAP) which is the key document in the second round application.
Our GIS & Visualisation team will be supported by our ecologists to develop the maps. The outputs of the project will be used to assist the area’s habitats and landscapes in becoming more resilient in the future.
