Laura McGowan, Associate Planner, recently participated in the Scottish Renewables Grid & Networks Conference, where she gained insights into the latest developments in grid and network policy, expedited connections procedures, and transmission charging.
"Attending the conference provided valuable networking opportunities with our clients and sub-consultants involved in our ongoing grid projects. While some of the technical discussions on network charging were beyond my expertise, the conference offered a comprehensive overview for our projects and introduced aspects of the grid and networks sphere we typically wouldn't engage with. It underscored the multifaceted nature of our work and the imperative of streamlining our processes for greater efficiency in the future."
