LUC celebrates a year of Living Wage commitment
LUC is celebrating a year of commitment to the Living Wage Foundation’s movement.
This Living Wage commitment ensures everyone working at LUC, whether employees or third-party contracted staff, receive a minimum hourly wage of £9.00 in the UK or £10.55 in London. Both of these rates are significantly higher than the statutory minimum for over 25s of £7.83 per hour.
LUC pledged its support for the “real” Living Wage a year ago and will continue to support employees this way.
Helen Ash, HR Manager, said: “Being an Accredited Living Wage Employer is an important part of our wider sustainability agenda. This begins with improving equality of access to professions, so we ensure that even our internships are paid at least the Living Wage.”
