LUC celebrates Planning Award win for Barking and Dagenham Local Plan
We’re over the moon to have received an award at the 2025 Planning Awards!
The Barking and Dagenham Local Plan took home the Award for Plan Making, and we were proud to celebrate with the team at Be First Regeneration Limited.

Barking and Dagenham Local Plan 2037
The Plan sets out a transformative vision to deliver over 40,000 new homes and 20,000 jobs, alongside vital infrastructure such as schools, healthcare, transport, and green spaces, aiming to uplift one of the UK’s most deprived boroughs. LUC played a key role by embedding sustainable development principles and placemaking throughout the Plan, which features ambitious housing allocations and innovative regeneration strategies for key areas, all underpinned by deliverable social and infrastructure projects to support long-term growth and community wellbeing.
The Planning Awards acknowledge the transformative power of planning and placemaking, and this win further confirms our passion and dedication for transforming places for people and nature.
