LUC Director to speak at IEMA climate change webinar
Our Director of Environmental Planning, Joanna Wright, had been invited to speak at IEMA‘s Climate Change Resilience and Adaptation webinar on Friday 26th June.
The webinar is part of IEMA’s Climate Change webinar series running throughout late June and early July. It provides an introduction to the updated EIA guidance from IEMA on considering climate change resilience and adaptation in EIA processes. This new guidance is an update of the 2010 and 2015 principles and takes into consideration legislative developments and lessons from practice since 2015.
Joanna was a member of the peer review group for the updated guidance and will be speaking about the practical implementation of the guidance. She will draw upon LUC’s own experience of addressing climate change in EIA projects, which was shortlisted by IEMA in 2019 for an ‘Innovation in Impact Assessment’ award.
